OMBase:A RESTful database for Mathematical Knowledge Management

OMBase is a database for mathematical documents that implements HTTP operations through a REST (Representational State Transfer) interface. It is designed to support files stored in OMDoc, a markup format for mathematical knowledge. We see OMBase to be a component integrated into the KWARC framework, as a reliable and transparent storing tool for other projects, as SWiM, for example.

The interface of OMBase is based upon the eXist database, but the REST features are implemented different conceptually (see publications for a detailed presentation of functionality).
